Destinations Texas offers many ways to get involved. Our mission as an organization is successful because of the contributions of time, talent, and expertise of our members. Destination Texas's committees provide a way for members to help shape the direction of our association.

Destinations Texas Committees
- Education and Conference Committee
This working committee selects session topics and speakers for the Destinations Texas educational events, and assists with on site logistics.
- Membership Committee
Committed to the development, engagement and retention of our membership base, this committee assists with annual programs that keep members active and feeling welcome including the First Time Attendee Luncheon at Annual. Will help develop and rollout a mentorship program for the 2026 - 2027 membership year.
- Research Committee
Solicits input from members on what research products are needed and ensures surveys have an effective completion rate.
- Destination Management Specialist (DMS) Committee
Assists with the facilitation of the DMS program including delegate communication, reviewing essays, updating credits, tracking delegate progress and supporting the committee co-chairs.
- Sales Blitz Committee
This committee plans and executes the association's yearly Sales Blitz and educational event.
- Team Texas Committee
The Team Texas Committee selects and organizes opportunities for cooperative marketing at trade and consumer shows around the country. LEARN MORE HERE
- Young Professionals Committee
Assists in the development of educational content and thought leadership for Destinations Texas Young Professionals, create mentorship opportunities for new and existing members and organize networking opportunities at Destinations Texas events.
- DMO 101: Develops educational resources and programs designed to support professionals who are new to destination organizations or looking to strengthen their industry knowledge. The committee focuses on building a strong foundation in destination marketing, organizational operations, leadership, and best practices to help members succeed in their careers.
- Awards: Oversees the Destinations Texas Awards program, recognizing outstanding achievements and innovation in destination marketing across the state. Committee members help support the awards process, promote participation, and celebrate the individuals and organizations whose work advances the Texas tourism industry.
- Small Teams: Represents the unique needs and opportunities of small destination organizations across Texas. The committee provides a forum for sharing ideas, addressing common challenges, and developing resources, education, and networking opportunities that empower small DMOs to thrive and grow.
