Meet our Staff
Kathleen Davis, CDME
President & CEO
Kathleen brings decades experience in the tourism industry, specializing in meeting planning, refining organizational development, strategic marketing and communications, government relations, and community engagement.
Prior to joining Destinations Texas, Kathleen was VP of Marketing with MMGY NextFactor, where she consulted with destinations to optimize their strength, resources, and operations through assessments and strategic planning. She previously held two leadership roles with destination organizations in Pennsylvania -serving as President of Discover Lancaster, where she successfully rebranded the destination and revamped its business model, and as the first Tourism Director for the Cumberland Valley Visitors Bureau.
Kathleen volunteers as a board member for Destinations International’s Certified Destination Management Executives (CDME) program and as an instructor for the CDME Destination Leadership core class. She is also a past member of the Travel Foundation Board.
She lives in Dallas with her husband Craig, and her daughter, Maddie who attends the Texas A&M School of Dentistry.
Lindsay Closson
Director of Marketing & Membership
Lindsay holds a BS in Hospitality & Tourism Management from San Diego State University and brings more than twenty years of experience in the hospitality industry. Having previously worked as both a hotel supplier and non-profit meeting planner, the majority of her career was spent in Group Sales with major hotel brands including both Hyatt & Hilton hotel corporations.
She currently resides in Grapevine with her husband Brady and two young boys.
Amy constancia
administrative coordinator
Amy holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and Event Management from Tarleton State University. She brings a strong background in marketing, community engagement, and strategic promotion to her role with Destinations Texas.
Prior to joining Destinations Texas, Amy served as Marketing Coordinator for Visit Early, where she led initiatives to promote the community and enhance visitor experiences. Her professional experience also includes work with a nonprofit organization, further strengthening her commitment to community development and outreach.
Amy remains actively engaged in her community. She made history as the youngest board member appointed to the Early Municipal Development District Board and has previously served as a member of the Early Chamber of Commerce.
She resides in Early, Texas, with her husband, Jose.
