This is a position responsible for leading and overseeing the development, promotion and sales of the destination to conferences and events rights-holders for the purpose of securing/hosting numerous and varied state, regional, national, and international conferences and meetings to increase economic impact of tourism and increase awareness of McAllen as a visitor destination. Bidding on these conventions involves considerable contact with state, regional, national and international leaders to secure, develop, coordinate and host large conferences and meetings at numerous facilities and hotels in the destination.
