City of Stephenville hires new manager for its Tourism and Visitors Bureau
A familiar face with years of experience working in the public sector has been hired to head the city of Stephenville’s Tourism and Visitors Bureau. Lea Contreras will step into her now role on Monday, June 29.
“I am really excited for the opportunity to join the city,” Lea told Beneath the Surface News. “This job has everything that I love to do and what I have been doing for years wrapped into one.”
Lea says her No. 1 priority will focus on attracting people to Stephenville.
“We want them to come to Stephenville and spend their money with local businesses and we want to increase stays,” she said.
Lea worked for the Stephenville Chamber of Commerce for seven years. She said she will also be working alongside other city staff to host events like Moo-La Fest.
