City of Waco Appoints Permanent Chief Destination Development Officer

WACO, Texas — The City of Waco has appointed a permanent Chief Destination Development Officer as it continues its efforts to turn Waco into a "premier destination."

On Thursday, Jan. 29, the City of Waco announced Lisa Blackmon had been appointed as Chief Destination Development Officer on a permanent basis.

Blackmon's appointment is meant to "reinforce the City’s commitment to elevating Waco's profile as a premier destination by strengthening Waco’s visitor economy and long-term destination growth," the City said. Read more here.
