McKinney declares itself the 'Inflatable Turkey Capital of Texas'

McKinney, Texas -- This Thanksgiving season, McKinney is puffing up with pride (and plenty of air!) as it proclaims itself the Inflatable Turkey Capital of Texas, a playful title celebrating the city’s growing flock of inflatable turkeys that have become an unmistakable fall favorite.

To help visitors and locals join in the fun, Visit McKinney has unveiled the McKinney Inflatable Turkey Map, an interactive guide to the city’s most gobble-worthy displays. From historic downtown neighborhoods to cozy cul-de-sacs, the map highlights where travelers can spot towering turkeys with their own unique name and story—something that makes McKinney a unique destination.

The turkey map is live now at on the Visit McKinney website and app, and anyone can add their own festive flock for inclusion. Visitors are encouraged to make a day (or weekend) of it, strolling through the Historic Downtown McKinney Cultural District, dining at local restaurants, or grabbing a pumpkin spice latte before taking a self-guided “turkey tour.” READ MORE
