Education & Events
Destinations Texas offers a variety of professional development training tools to further elevate destination organization team leaders and members:
The Annual Conference includes educational sessions, keynote presentations, and shirt-sleeve sessions presented by top thought leaders in our industry.
The Winter Master Classes feature concentrated tracks in classroom “workshop” settings.
The Innovation Summit provides hands-on AI training for DMO professionals.
The Texas Tourism Women's Conference brings together inspiring women leaders in tourism from across the state.
Regional Workshops bring Destinations Texas to you! Join us for 1/2 day education and networking events with your local area DMOs. These are held regionally throughout the state.
Destination Marketing Principles Classes provide the basics for marketing a destination and is the perfect starting point for your DMO new-hires.
Educational Accreditation
The Destination Management Specialist (DMS) educational accreditation is the Texas Tourism industry’s highest individual educational achievement.

SCHOLARSHIPS, EducatioN & Research Fund
The Scholarship, Education, and Research Fund was established to support scholarships, special projects, and research.

Team Texas participants band together cooperatively to promote the State of Texas and their respective destinations at national travel trade shows and events.

An Affiliate membership is designed for companies and organizations that provide products and services to the travel and tourism industry. Benefits include:

- Discounted registration at Destinations Texas events.
To simplify and standardize our policy on prorating membership dues for new members, the following policy applies:
- Full Dues Paid: The full amount of the new member’s membership dues would be owed to Destinations Texas between October 1 and March 31
- Prorated Dues Paid: Beginning April 1, the new member’s membership dues would be prorated at 60% of the original amount.
